Volkswagen Features All Digital Ad Campaign

Volkswagen, in many ways, has been one of the most aggressive companies when it comes to embracing the digital age. The new European hatchback, the Golf GTI Mark 6, takes this idea to a whole new level in terms of its marketing.

This vehicle will feature an all-digital advertising campaign. The campaign utilizes social media, rich media ads, and pay-per-click search ads to drive traffic to a dedicated site. While at the site, prospective buyers can race a virtual GTI on a race track, and try to get the best time possible.

The marketing campaign tells the story of the conception of the GTI. The first GTI was built and designed secretly by engineers from Volkswagen in their spare time. On the site, you can get behind the wheel of a scale model of the GTI, racing it along the streets of a miniature city, utilizing tiny cameras.

Listen To Your Porsche’s Brakes

Your brakes are, arguably, one of the most important pieces of safety equipment in your Porsche vehicle. Your brakes keep you out of accidents, and are a basic part of how you get your Porsche from point A to point B. It’s important to listen to the messages that your brakes are trying to tell you.

There are a number of noises that your brakes may make that can tell you when it’s time to get new brakes. For example, if you need new brake pads, you’re likely to hear a high-pitched screech. There is a metal shim inside the brake pads called the indicator that will make this noise when it rubs against other metal.

If your brakes go too long, you might hear a grinding or a metallic noise. Very often, this type of noise means that the caliper and the disc are rubbing together. Once your brakes get to this point, you should get your Porsche in for service right away. Really, you’re past time. The longer you let it go, the more dangerous it becomes and the more expensive the repairs will be.

If your brakes are pulsing or vibrating, it can indicate a different problem. It may be that your rotors are warped, or it may be that you need an alignment. Here again, this indicates it is time to get your car in to the shop.

Finally, if your brake pedal vibrates or pulses, it can indicated that your rotors are warped. This can also mean that your vehicle needs an alignment. Either way, it’s time to get it into the shop.

While much of the talk about this series of books is certain to revolve around Edward and Bella’s budding romance and affection for one another, Porsche lovers have another reason to be interested in the Twilight series.

Porsche and Volkswagen Talk Merger

While the fact is that Porsche and Volkswagen already have a fairly close relationship, with many dealers acting as both Volkswagen and Porsche dealerships, the fact is that Porsche currently only owns 51 percent of the VW company. While this is technically a majority stake, they fall short of the 75% stake needed to have a true majority ownership. Still, there is plenty of talk of merger between the two.

Volkswagen is the largest automaker in Europe. The brands under the VW banner include Volkswagen, Lamborghini, Skoda, Bentley, Bugatti, Audi, and Scania.

It is expected that a merger would help both companies in creating even more efficiencies and economies of scale. The companies have been in talks in a joint working group, hoping to develop a new structure within the next few weeks.

The Audi Centennial Timepiece is a real work of art. It features a regulator dial, a stopwatch, a chronograph, and a tachometer. It’s truly unique in that the hour hand is actually offset, and the minute hand is the only one located at the center of the dial.

There are only 100 Audi Centennial Timepieces manufactured – one for each year of Audi’s history. 35 of these were made in platinum, and the remaining 65 in white gold. The watches retail for around $25,000 for the platinum version and $15,000 for the white gold version.

When You Have an Accident in your Audi

The last thing you hope for is to have an accident in your Audi car. The fact of the matter is, however, that automobile accidents happen every day. Even if you’re the safest driver in the world, it doesn’t mean that everyone else out there is driving with your safety in mind.

Here are some important steps to take after you’ve been in an accident:

  • First of all, try to stay calm and assess the situation. Call emergency services, and give them as much information as you can including your location, name, the type and number of vehicles involved in the accident, and if there are any injuries.
  • Once you know everyone is OK, make sure to exchange information with the other drivers. You need their insurance company information, license plate number, driver’s license number, name, address and phone number.
  • If there were witnesses, try to get their contact information.
  • Record the names of police and safety officials that arrive on the scene.
  • Contact your insurance company as soon as possible in order to let them know about the accident.
  • Don’t admit fault at the scene. Let the insurance companies and the police sort those issues out.

If your vehicle needs service, make sure to get in to your local Audi dealer today.

Getting Your Porsche Detailed

If you want to make sure your Porsche looks its best all the time, you need to consider getting it detailed. Auto detailing helps not only to make your Porsche vehicle look good, it also helps to preserve the bodywork.

There isn’t a specific definition in the industry for what qualifies as detailing. However, detailing usually involves certain things. It may include small repairs to your pain job or the surface of your vehicle. It also often includes cleaning areas that tend to be ignored. Some of these include the trim, tires, wheels, underchassis, and engine.

There are several steps to the detailing process. A detailing generally consists of the following steps: wash, dry, clay bar, wash again, polish, glaze, sealant, wax. Each of these steps has its own purpose, and does something specific for your Porsche. Clay gets rid of paint contamination, while sealant provides durability, for example.

If you want your Porsche to look its best, consider getting it detailed today. If you want a Porsche with a true “new car” look, come see your Porsche dealer and check out what we have to offer.

Summer Blockbuster Movies

It’s nearly summer again, and that means blockbuster movies. It’s time to load the family up in your Audi and drive to your local theater to enjoy a great show together.

Here are some things you should keep in mind to make your movie experience the best it can be:

  • Get a kids’ pack for the kids. The kids’ pack comes with everything they need: a beverage, popcorn and candy. They’ll have a variety of food, and you can make sure they’re not overeating buttered popcorn with these smaller portions.
  • Be courteous to other people watching the movie. If a child is being fussy or loud, take them out to the lobby. It’s better to miss part of the movie in order to get the child to calm down than it is to miss the entire movie
  • Know what you’re watching. Check out the movie reviews at parent websites to know whether a particular movie is appropriate for your kids.

If you need a new Audi for your summer excursions, come and see your local Audi dealer today.

Porsche Garage Safety

If you’re like many other Porsche owners, you like to tinker a little bit with your vehicle. While you’re probably not going to do like people did decades ago and try to directly modify your engine or drag race your Porsche vehicle down a street, the fact of the matter is you might like to make some small modifications here and there. It could even be that you just like to change your own oil.

Whatever it is you like to do under the hood of your Porsche, there are some important safety issues to keep in mind when you’re working in your garage:

First, make sure you have all of the important safety equipment you need. You’ll want to have a fire extinguisher, and one that’s fully charged. You also need to make sure you have a first aid kit in your garage. The kit should have a number of things, including bandages, disinfectant spray, antibiotic, gauze pads, and medical tape. An ice pack, scissors, burn cream, and sterile gloves are good to have, as well.

And don’t forget personal protective equipment. You want safety goggles to protect your eyes from projectiles, and you’ll want safety gloves to keep your hands from getting scraped, burned or cut.

If your Porsche needs service from a professional, call your local Porsche dealer today.
